Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Winston Salem North Carolina ( www.redeemerardmore.org ) has completed the process of reviewing applications for a new Teaching Pastor at the Ardmore Campus. By unanimous vote, the Pastor Search Committee (PSC) is excited to recommend Giorgio Hiatt to be Redeemer Ardmore’s next Teaching Pastor.
This is the culmination of a long process involving much prayer and the review of some 60 candidates over the past nine months. We’ve read letters of introduction, resumes, ministry data forms, philosophies of ministry, and listened to hours of sermons. We’ve had spirited discussions about the pros and cons of many fine candidates. The process has been as thorough as anything we’ve ever done at Redeemer.
The PSC has worked closely with the Session to come up with the dates for the candidating weekend on 3/24 and 3/25 and the congregational meeting on 4/8. We know this is very short notice, but April is a difficult month to get the congregation together for a vote. Easter Sunday made the most sense, even though some people will be returning then. If you are one of those who cannot make it to Redeemer by 10:00 on April 8th, members can still vote that evening at Salem Presbyterian after the 5PM service there.
We’ve listed a few details about Giorgio on the flyer that can be found on the Redeemer Homepage (www.redeemerardmore.org.) We encourage you to make time to meet Giorgio and Amanda on Saturday and/or Sunday, March 24 and 25. All the so-called “Town Hall Meetings” will be the same so that you can choose the time that suits you best.
Thanks again for entrusting us with this important work and for supporting it with your prayers and encouragement. What could have been a burden has become a real joy.
In Christ,
Your Pastor Search Committee: Joey Jeffers, Randy Borton, Dee Dee Carter, Greg Garrett, Carol Hall, Todd Kistemaker, Kevin Morton, Barbara McCoy, and Charles Ryan.
Blessings as you pray and consider your part in your part of this church wide seeking of God together.
